Dublin City University is proud to offer the first Irish MA in Sexuality Studies.

The MA in Sexuality Studies is a unique postgraduate programme offering specialist theoretical training in issues relating to all sexualities in the Irish, European and global contexts.

It is jointly established by the School of Applied language and Intercultural Studies (SALIS), and the School of Nursing (SON). This interdisciplinary programme, cross-faculty generated, gathers together academics, researchers and students in a relevant and timely fashion for Irish society.

The primary aim of the MA in Sexuality Studies is to equip participants with the relevant knowledge and skills to become competent professionals in their encounters with issues related to sexuality. The educational philosophy of the MA in Sexuality Studies aims at advancing cross-, inter-, and multi-disciplinary teaching and research; and seeks to nurture advocacy in sexuality studies to enhance sexual literacy, so as to generate well being and social justice.
