This Masters Degree programme aims to provide a practical and theoretical understanding of law and its relevance to issues around gender and sexuality. It combines analysis of current law with a critical exploration of the structures, potential and limits of law and legal reform.

Yale University offers a graduate qualification in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality studies. The program establishes gender and sexuality as fundamental categories of social and cultural analysis and offers critical perspectives upon them as a basis from which to study the diversity of human experience. Gender (the social and historical meanings of the distinction between the sexes) and sexuality (sexual practices, identities, discourses, and institutions) are studied as they intersect with class, race, ethnicity, and nationality.

Cornell's Feminist, Gender, & Sexuality Studies (FGSS) Program is one of the largest interdisciplinary programs in the College of Arts
and Sciences, involving approximately 150 members of the greater
Cornell faculty, staff and Ithaca community. It is also historically
one of the first university women's studies programs in the country.

This short course aims to provide participants with the knowledge to critique gender approaches to health and development and the skills to be able to plan programmes which are gender sensitive in their design.
Although the focus is largely on women, the construction of male gender and its implications for health and development are also examined. Participatory approaches for collecting and analysing data on gender are described, ensuring participants are able to combine qualitative with quantitative data as a baseline for planning interventions.

The Centre for Interdisciplinary Gender Studies at Leeds University offers a masters program in Gender, Sexuality & Queer Theory. The core modules consist of ‘Theorizing Gender’, ‘Researching Gender’ and ‘Que(e)rying Sexualities’. The aim is to provide advanced understanding of approaches to sexualities and queer studies in addition to an understanding gender studies.

The aim of the program is to re-focus issues of Western gender studies on the complex specificities of Asia and Africa. It offers the specialized study of gender in relation to the cultures of Asia and Africa, together with rigorous training in, and questioning of, contemporary gender theory.

The Department of Sociomedical Sciences also offer a Pre-doctoral Fellowship in Gender, Sexuality and Health, leading to a Ph.D. degree from Columbia's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. The fellowship is designed to prepare students for research and teaching careers in gender and sexuality.
