The University of Pretoria’s Centre for the Study of AIDS focuses on understanding HIV/AIDS as a social, medical, developmental and legal issue. The centre has developed a number of training programs for the corporate sector on peer education models and workplace policy. These programs are available to communities, NGO’s and government departments on a variety of issues. The Centre is also developing courses on Youth, Gender, HIV/AIDS and the Media; Gender and HIV; HIV/AIDS Research and Sex and sexuality.
