The International NGO Training and Research Centre (INTRAC) offers short courses (3 days) on gender analysis and planning targeted at development planners such as ‘Moving from Policy to Practice: Building Civil Society Organisational Resilience to HIV/AIDS’ - a dynamic three-day practitioner workshop that took place in South Africa in April 2006. This learning event provided an opportunity for practitioners to discuss and analyse key research findings and practical experiences of HIV/AIDS and build capacity in order to promote better organisational responses to the pandemic. Issues focused on included CSO experiences of implementing workplace policies; implications of HIV/AIDS for capacity building providers; and wider strategic issues raised by HIV/AIDS for International Non-Government Organisations.
