The Africa Regional Sexuality Resource Centre (ARSRC) in Nigeria focuses on strengthening African intellectual resources and reshaping sexuality research, discourse and action. The ARSRC provides a forum for sexuality professionals in Africa to share ideas, update their knowledge, set the agenda and devise strategies for dealing with sexual and reproductive health and rights in marriage; to contribute to policy, program and research actions in healthy and responsible sexuality in marriage; and to build professional networks and constituencies among sexuality professionals in Africa. The initiative is a multi-faceted, five-year project funded by The Ford Foundation to give greater visibility, depth and legitimacy to the field of sexuality in Africa.
