University of Michigan, Institute for Research on Women and Gender provides support for research on women and gender and encourages and facilitates activities that link research in Women's Studies, disciplinary departments, interdisciplinary programs and the professional schools. A central goal of the Institute is to communicate important advances in empirical and theoretical scholarship on gender and women to the public.
