This 19-day course focuses on context-specific and gender-sensitive knowledge about sexuality and the linkages between gender, sexuality, and health policies and programs in Southeast Asia and China. Attention is given to exploring how conceptual frameworks, especially gender and sexuality theories, and methodological approaches can be applied to health policies and programs to enhance health outcomes, including sexual and reproductive health in the region. The curriculum is oriented towards public health and public health policy. However, despite a number of lectures on sexuality and gender, there appears to be little in the way of theory or research methodology.
